Rome Fiumicino (FCO) airport hosts the Plaza Premium Lounge. The lounge itself was added to the Plaza Premium Group network in April 2018.
Entry is available to any passenger on any airline if willing to pay a fee. However, if you are a premium passenger with some airlines, or have a lounge pass, then you can gain complimentary entry.
The lounge is located on the upper level of Terminal 3, in the Non-Schengen Area (E-Gates). From entry, you are entitled to an up-to 3-hour stay officially. It is open 24-hours, with complimentary WiFi, 300 seats and six shower rooms.
The lounge itself is a good size, bright, with plenty of room, seating and areas to relax before your flight. There are plenty of seating options in a variety of configurations, allowing for a comfortable stay.
Complimentary food items included a selection of salad options, made-to-order pasta and pizza options, cold and hot buffet options.
The bar is located in the centre of the lounge. With beverages, soft drinks, water, coffee, house wines and beer are free of charge, with a fee incurred for cocktails and top-shelf items.
Toilet facilities and shower facilities are located off to the side area of the lounge, and are good quality and size for their purposes.
WiFi connection is good throughout the lounge, allowing you to catch up on work if desired.
All-in-all, the Plaza Premium Lounge at Rome Fiumicino is a good quality lounge which will serve you well before your flight. It is modern, clean and bright, offering both private and more communal seating options.
