Heathrow Strike Update - Strikes on the 5th of August called off

Heathrow Strike Update - Expert with Points

Unite, the union representing over 4,000 Heathrow Airport employees, has announced that the strike scheduled for the 5th of August has been suspended.

The purpose of the suspension is to allow further talks between senior Heathrow Airport and Unite officials to take place, with the intention of “averting a second day of planned strike action”.

As such, the current suspension only affects the strikes scheduled for the 5th of August. Strikes planned for the 6th of August (commencing at 00:01 on Tuesday morning and running until 23:59 Tuesday evening) are still scheduled to go ahead.
