Heathrow Strike Update - Expert with Points

Staff at Heathrow Airport have suspended the strike action scheduled for this Friday and Saturday.

The Unite union has suspended its industrial action whilst staff vote on an improved pay offer which has been tabled by the airport.

However, other planned strikes (for Monday 5th, Tuesday 6th, Friday 23rd, and Saturday 24th of August), remain on the table with these strikes potentially including fire and rescue workers alongside the 4,000 security guards, engineers, passenger service operatives and passenger service drivers who were already due to take part.

This action is separate to the planned strikes by British Airways pilots, however, this could occur at the same time. There is also a chance of BA cabin crew also taking strike action. However, their union has recommended accepting an improved pay offer tabled by the airline.
